Program Manager: FCA is hiring!

The Framework Convention Alliance (FCA) is hiring a Program Manager - a new role in its Ottawa, Canada office.

The FCA is a global alliance of nearly 500 civil society organizations in more than 100 countries, working together on the implementation of the world’s tobacco treaty, the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control. FCA staff includes a small core team in Ottawa, as well as regional co-ordinators around the world.
We are looking for an experienced all-rounder to manage our planning, grant proposal writing, reporting and budgeting processes. Reporting to the FCA’s Executive Director, the Program Manager will also be responsible for key HR functions (such as managing contracts and performance reviews), as well as ensuring the smooth running of FCA Board meetings.

Candidates should have:

  • A post-secondary degree
  • Ten or more years of senior management experience, including budget development and management
  • Experience in international/cross-cultural environments
  • Excellent written and good spoken English.

Knowledge of other UN official languages (particularly Spanish or French) is a significant asset, as is knowledge of public health issues and/or international relations.

This is a new position, created as part of restructuring in anticipation of expanded activities.
